Someone needs to add 'magnet:' to the list of linkafilable prefixes. Otherwise does what it says and very nicely - although the need of this add-on in this day-and-age is kind of idiotic, as it's functionality should be built-into FireFox from the start.

I spent months wondering why Amazon was so incredibly slow to navigate. Finally I started disabling each addon until I discovered that linkification was to blame. Disabled it and Amazon no longer lags. Running on SSD, 8 GB ram, Phenom II X4 3.4 Happened regardless if I was using Windows 7 or 8. Something to work on, guys. Hope you figure out how to fix that.

Suddenly it's not working well with Amazon, Outlook, Skydrive, etc. Causes freezes and slowdown.

Like others have said before me, WE FINALLY FOUND OUT WHAT HAS BEEN DESTROYING OUR BROWSING EXPERIENCE, IT WAS THIS DAMN ADD ON, what the heck man, Amazon is incredibly slow, google image search grinds to a halt for a few seconds, and when ever I download anything, Firefox breaks down. JESUS, please fix this problem, I hate having to manually copy and paste a link, it's absolutely garbage. YOU GUYS GET ONE STAR FROM ME UNTIL YOU FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!
EDIT: Right now, I disabled automatic hyperlinking, so every time I want to open a none hyperlinked link, I have to use the double click feature, it works everywhere like a charm without any problems just like classic linkification. I'm putting the main bulk of linkification on hold for now until the problem is fixed. You guys get three stars for now.

замораживает браузер на странице Amazone и др. Чуть было уже не перешёл с лучшего браузера на оперу. Блокировать такие расширения и авторов надо бы..

As others have mentioned here, freezes Amazon. Now editing review to add that it freezes the new Outlook Hotmail as well, and also many of Google's sites. I have switched to whitelist (only AutoLinkify ...), but that's a pain. This absolutely needs to be fixed.

I too can confirm what others have said in that i too was having browser freezing problems with sites like Amazon (even contacted Amazon) for a while now, so much so that i could only view Amazon on Chrome. Finally figured out it was this extension that was causing the problem and i have my beloved Firefox back!!
I'm going to tick the other box now, and disable the extension on sites by default and only allow the extension to work on some sites. A bit annoying, but better than nothing. Not sure why this problem exists in the first place; maybe there should be some kind of internal mechanism that prevents this from happening after its worked out as to why it happens with Amazon.

People who have a problem with Amazon and whatnot: There's a whitelist option in the Linkification settings! Just add Amazon.com to it.

For the past few weeks, I've been having problems getting the add-on to fully linkify long links. It linkifies only one portion of the link and leaves the other portion plain-text. Needs fixing, especially since this add-on is connected to my Youtube Link Title extension for Greasemonkey.

I am very sorry that I have to give 1 star, but this addon unfortunately brings certain internet pages, like amazon and netbookcheck, to a screeching halt (for 5 - 10 seconds the browser freezes almost totally, the same happens if you reload the page). Tested with Firefox 17.0.1 and Linkification 1.3.8.. Other users like VanDammage confirmed this as well. This can cause a lot of trouble and time loss. Further time loss to find out which plugin causes this. And unfortunately it is obviously linkification...

finally found out what was freezing/slowing Amazon to a crawl... this mother F'er!!!

Works well, but something about it is interfering and freezing Firefox whenever I open Outlook/Hotmail
