This is a "must have" add-on to change the subject of all those anonymous invoices and those fools who use an old subject for a new email. I was avoiding TB 78 but it has crept in - need this updating to work ASAP. Pretty please!

I am writing this in reply to elliottqk's comments on September 15. If you are only interested in editing the subject line of messages, you can try the addon EditEmailSubject, which is recently updated to work with TB78.

I have been using this since February. I still love it. Can't do without it and now of course TB is updating to v78. Will you be updating this as well or must I stick with v68 for now? Thank you for considering.

But could you please add to your addon the ability to check the real date and real time an email you received was really sent to you and was "really" received on TB ?

Eccezionale. Per un periodo non era più disponibile e per me si tratta di un componente aggiuntivo indispensabile. Consente di modificare l'oggetto delle mail ricevute, la data, l'ora e altro. L'utilità consiste nel poter ordinare a piacimento le mail, ad esempio i modelli creati che si vuole avere in una determinata sequenza. Cambiando l'oggetto si può identificare subito una mail con parole chiave.
Grazie per aver ripristinato questo componente, spero che sarà sempre disponibile anche per future versioni di Thunderbird. Se possibile farò una donazione allo sviluppatore.

Very happy to find again this extension. I conserved the old one, but she does not update automaticaly ! i use it principaly to modify the subject .

At the first of the year, I decided that I needed HeaderTools badly enough that I would backlevel Tbird to the last release in which it worked. Last week, I vowed that it would be the first thing I did this week. I had just finished backing up my system and downloading the installer for TB60.9 when I little bird :-) whispered in my ear, "Check for a new version of HeaderTools one last time before you do anything drastic."

This utility belongs in the small cadre of such stupendously useful "free" software that I am willing to support it financially. How may I do that?
And WHY isn't it an integral part of Tbird?

So glad to have found this add-on. The previous "EditEmailSubject" with the shortcut 'e' was great. When TB updated and I lost functionality of subjects I was crushed.... Now I can again with this. Great job Dillinger. I was looking through your work all very nice.
If you 'have nothing else to do' :-) can you do a something like the add-on "ColumnsWizard" - we lost that one with the TB update as well and Mitz doesn't seem to be active anywhere nowadays.

I also "revived" Edit Email Subject, you can install that too, if you want.

Apparently Micz added Christopher as dev for ColumnsWizard, but he may be too busy these days.
We'll see, it is not a very simple add-on so it will take some time.

Pls add shortcut for editing subject (older version had "e" key).

Adding it here would conflict with Edit Email Subject.
In the options for this add-on you can choose a shortcut key yourself.
