I used a browser called Maxthon Classic till recently but I needed to upgrade and came to Mozilla. One great thing about Maxthon classic is its mouse gestures which provide the ability to search text, and open links in a new tab, just by dragging that text or link a little and dropping it. This addon provides that functionality to Mozilla and more. In Maxthon classic dragging an image opened it in a new Tab. In this addon it saves the image automatically which is useful.

It is also faster (probably because Mozilla is faster). I tried other gestures, such as all in one gestures, but the latter required that I first select text and then do a seperate gesture. I prefer the drag effect. It feels like I am dragging the text into an abyss where google awaits.

You have to turn on the search function in the small addon settings screen.

It may do more than I report above but even if not, I am very satisfied.

Very simple to use and saves an insane amount of time you didn't even know you were taking up. No more right click, save to, etc., or right click new tab, new window, etc. Great app.

This program is great! I love how I can save images so quickly and also search instantly, which helps from everything to learning about a new organization to simply finding out the definition of a word. Brilliant.

How can I change "search text" to google search engine?

I'm not happy with the new version so i updated the original

drag de go so you can use it in firefox

version 7.01 and earlier.

This is one of the most simple yet more useful add-ons I use, I love it.
By the way, to the previous user: drag and save image does work for me on FF 6.0 without any problems with the latest version of Quickdrag.
