Ad-on is great. But now, this is a step backwards. Very annoying. I hate to click last message every time I open the client. If this is not fixed, I'll probably leave Thunderbird. After 10 years of using.

I'm fighting with manual scrolling messages every time I start the Thunderbird. Then I finally found this awesome addon! But it doesn't work in TB 115 at the moment. Can we hope there will be an update?

Editing the manifest.json file, as mentioned before, makes it work in 102 ... but not at startup, only when changing folders. Combined with "Start with Inbox" plugin I get exactly what I want.

I tried the method of editing the manifest.json file per an earlier review, and unfortunately it did not work for me.

For TB102, I modified the manifest.json file in autoselectlatestmessage@vano.xpi --> "strict_max_version" : "102.0" and it seems to work well.

Must have, essential addon, together with "Manually sort folders" (https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/manually-sort-folders/), but it doesn't work with latest TB 91.0.1. Please update...

This is great to have :). It's working for me on version 78. Not working for unified mailboxes which is ok, but for all other folders and email address inbox folders it works great!

Very necessary add on - thank you for creating it. But I have found that when activated, TB 78.6 opens perfectly with focus on latest message received, but that I am unable to open any older messages! Once i deactivate Auto Select Latest Massage, i can open all my older emails normally, but I get the annoying default window in my window of my first email . . . this may just be a quirk of my installation (Windows 10, updated, ThinkPadX1Gen2. If others have same problem, then maybe there's a bug. (but otherwise a great add-on, appreciate your efforts!)
