Please note that this version shows a menu item in the tools menu of TB78 that reads "Your localized menuitem". When clicked, it does nothing...

This was the one add-on that was keeping me from upgrading to 78.* and now you've fixed it. You're a lifesaver! Tnx for this nifty little add-on that allows me to open Outlook attachments.

I use V68.12.1 and I am very thankfull for your work.
After month of asking the sender with wrong Outlook settings I am now able to open this winmail.dat extension and don´t need to trick around to get the extensions.
It works well on my PC

A must have to be able to receive attachments... so necessary that I still am in Thunderbird 68 and do not update until Lookout is available for new versions. Please update it!

There is currently a beta in testing. However I have been unable to test the calendar invite functions. If you wish to test this beta and provide feedback please visit the github repository.

I am also looking for an updated version of LookOut to work with the new version of Thunderbird 78.2.2. It was great and now I can't get attached files. I don't want to have to change to a different email program. Thanks!

Thunderbird was automatically upgraded from 68 to 78 causes LookOut stops working, am waiting for new version be released.

Lookout 2.0.4 perfectly works on my PC running Thunderbird 68.11.0 (32-Bit), Windows 10 Pro 1909. Many thanks!
I can directly access the content of the winmail.dat files in the received emails, as easy as if the files stored inside the winmail.dat had been attached directly.

Works with TB 68.6 and 68.7 (both 64Bit) - Drag&Drop Support disabled (like said in version history), "save all" works fine though. Would be the tip on the top to re-enable drag&drop support. Opening in new windows does not work as well - is a known issue and is beeing worked on.

There is currently a known bug where if your emails open in a new window lookout will not run. Please try switching to opening emails in a new tab, if your problem persists please open an issue on github.

Thanks a lot! LookOut 2.0 (Fix Version) works perfectly with my TB 68.3.1 (mac os x). Luckily just some of my senders are attaching winmail.dat unsupported by TB out-of-the-box.

There is an ongoing issue for TB 68.* that is yet to be properly diagnosed. Please refer to the github repository linked here as the support site.
