I would like to know how several users below manage to get this to install in Thunderbird 7.0. As of today (Sept. 29, 2011), if you look at the install.rdf file in the .xpi file that you download, it clearly shows the maxVersion as 6.* for Thunderbird. Firefox, on the other hand, shows maxVersion as 7.*. I am using Windows XP w/ SP3. I tried the trick of changing 6.* to 7.* in the install.rdf file, but Thunderbird then complains the modified add-on appears to be corrupt.

It DOES work in TB7, just make sure you set the right screens under 'options' (tab thumderbird).

The update to TB 7.0 does not brake this add-on, don't talk BS, ok. I just updated it 5 minutes ago on my laptop, and works perfectly.

I would be happy seeing option "Always show taskbar icon". It's a bit annoying when you look for icon in tray and it's not there because this time TBird wasn't minimized. I have 20 or so icons in tray so it's not so easy to find something, but still much easier then find it in taskbar where about 70 windows are opened... I think it's a piece of cake for you :) Thank you in advance.

This works just fine with my Thunderbird 6.0.2 on Win7. I have been looking for something like this for years, and this add-on does exactly what I want, has no side-effects that I have seen, and is completely reliable. Recommended!

This one is the best so far - it does work with the latest non-beta Thunderbird, and it minimizes to the _tray_ even in Win7.
Its options include minimizing on close which is great.

Now to the shortcomings:
1. No setting to always keep the icon in the tray - once you maximize TB, the icon disappears, and appears upon minimize. Not neat at all. Please add "Always show icon in tray" option.
2. No animated icon on unread mail (like in "The Bat"). It's amazing how there is no mail client which would use this obvious unread mail indicator - you can miss the sound, you can miss the popup, but you can never miss the animated systray icon! Please add this feature.
3. No feature to restore TB on _single_ click on systray icon. Please add as an option as well.

These three obvious features will give this addon a competitive advantage over all others!

With FF 6.0 it is impossible to minimize DownThemAll. Until that it worked great. Please fix this!

I found that the context menu on right click is invalid after check minimize to tray instead of closing on version 5.0 or later. Is it a bug?

This used to be a fantastic add-on,,,until it stopped working about two weeks ago. I can no longer minimize DownThemAll to the system tray! Please fix

It would be 5 stars but recently, without apparent reason, it stopped working on Thunderbird 5. Even choosing to minimize from the menu File, it won't go to tray bar.
Also missing the "minimize at start" feature or the "always show tray icon" would be great.

This add-on would be perfect, but lacks Minimize on StartUp feature in Thunderbird 5. I am forced to use Minimize on Start and Close add-on to supplement this. Otherwise 5 stars.

I'm using Thunderbird 5.0 on Fedora 15 and Windows 7. This add-on works for both platforms. Keep up the good work.
