I really like this extension! Although, it would be very useful if incomplete links like chess.com were also linkified.

This is fantastic! I just wish it understood more links like Text Link. The problem with Text Link is that it requires special behavior like double click rather than providing a seamless experience like Linkification. I used to love this add-on but suddenly about half of the links are cut in half and don't work.

I like the addon but it seems to have suddenly stopped working and only creates a link out of half of the address. Example http://www.youtube.c is a link, the rest is plain text.

but it seems not to parse urls with html-tegs inside.

I've been looking for something like this for quite some time.
I am really impressed with the JavaScript.
It was interesting to browse to a recent article by Jeff Atwood at Coding Horror (http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/archives/001181.html) that talked about parens in URLs.
Linkification only had trouble with the URLs that end in a paren.

This has totally destroyed my Tiddlywiki file - every URL in it, and this includes URLs within Javascript has been destroyed. Unlike I thought, this extension does not just show the URLs as Links it obviously changes the DOM and this means that the changed stuff gets saved to disk. If it happens without you noticing immediately, the changed stuff gets changed yet again next time, resulting in huge messed up monsters of nested HTTP tags of incorrect syntax.

what a great add-on!! thank you so very much for this! i hated to select a link first, than copy it, than paste into another tab! but with this great extension all the plain text links are converted into the proper links :D:D:D thank you so much again!!
