Just upgraded to FF4 and traded in my old faithful Quick Restart for Restartless Restart... I have quick restart ability and a toolbar button, I'm happy. Just one suggestion... would you please make the button icon stand out a bit from the toolbar on dark themes or provide an optional alternate icon? I'm using NASA Night Launch and it's very difficult to see the icon against the toolbar. Thanks!

Since adding this add-on, it's no longer inconvenient to restart. For me, it works without any problems and it does exactly what it said it would do so i give it five stars.

First, this is an excellent add-on! I have a highly customized interface due in large part to limited screen size on my laptop, that said I have all my "bars" reduced to one semi-busy but highly integrated bar at the top of the browser. I see there is a toolbar button that may be placed to my liking however when I restart the browser using either this add-on or manually through the browser the button disappears from my bar. If I turn on any bar not normally open the button returns in its designated space but now my tabs bar which is normally hidden with the Tabs Menu add-on has been made useless. The tab bar is back no matter what bar I opened to find/retrieve the restart button. While this isn't a critical error it is very inconvenient and makes the toolbar button all but useless to me. Again not a critical point it simply adds a click into the App Button to use the add-on but these should be relatively easy glitches to fix which will make this a 5 star app for me!

Nice little tool, works as you described.
Would gave it a 5+ star review, if you could add your icon to the menu for Windows XP, too. (did it already with version 5 :-)

The addon is great... but...
WHY you didn't make it support Firefox < 4?
Yes, I know that FF3.6 and earlier don't support restartless addons (they ALWAYS require restart), but it must be a workaround there to bypass that "protection".
For example, you could make your addon change some Firefox files (it seems that most of the Firefox source code is stored in .js files) so that it does NOT require restart anymore but loads all addons instantly after installation (like Google Chrome does)...
OR you could just make an "addon loader" that would handle all future addon installs/uninstalls and load addons instantly... I bet it is possible.
( If it is possible to block / protect the mozilla:config page and the entire Options dialog (and I have seen some addons that can do that, preventing users to change Firefox configuration) then this is also possible. )

It works! Restart--without restarting--at will! Nice, little icon as well. Thanks Erik. As said, feature should be built into Fx 4. (Insignificant annoyance: The description capitalizes the I in Firefox ("FIrefox"), and it's bothering me. ;)
