On Linux (but not Windows), if you set one of the signatures as the default, the default font for Thunderbird will not be used :-(

If you set a default signature, Thunderbird's default font does not get used! I like my messages to appear in a sans-serif font like Arial, so under Thunderbird preferences (then Composition->General), I changed the HTML font to Helvetica, Arial... but this font does not get used if I've set a default signature.
Please fix this bug :-)

I have been wanting an automatic signature that would rotate the quotes each time I wrote a new message. Very customizable! Thanks.

This add-on, while well intentioned, falls drastically short of what it tries to accomplish.
Features it doesn't have:
*** Ability to place signature under your reply. (it puts your signature at the bottom of the email regardless of how many replies are beneath, thus making a signature pointless)
*** It also forces you to make a text file, save it somewhere, then point to it.
Use the extension Quick Text:

Works just like Outlook's signature feature.

It puts my signature at the very BOTTOM of the entire thread of replies. This is the worst placement for my signature. I need the signature to go directly beneath my reply, and I am sure that I'm not alone in this. This is a critical feature to include, and it would really make this good add-on into a GREAT add-on.
In fact, I am very deliberate about the placement of my signature. I can't really use this add-on until it allows me to place my signature immediately beneath my reply.
Thanks for listening! Looking forward to your future development.

Signature Switch is a fabulous Add-On. I wanted to begin using Linux and needed cross platform software that I could use on Windows or Linux. I wondered if Thunderbird might be able to replace a biggy like Outlook! After installing Thunderbird, adding some skins and the Lightning calendar, I was nearly there. Signature Switch fills the last gap. My new email client is every bit as strong as Outlook and works on Windows or Linux. Thank you, again, all open-source contributors!

This is a great little app that everybody should have. It doesn't even show up in your menu until you want to send a message.. its that unobtrusive. The only other thing I would have liked to see would be a sig randomizer... past that its just great.

This is great! One can even use HTML tags in the TXT signature file!
So recommendable!

Great program, but I don't like how this program needs me to point to another file as a signature. I much prefer programs where I can set signatures within the program, such as Quicktext.

I'm a Mac user (no Intel machine yet!), and tried to use the previous version on my Mac, but it never installed correctly. However, the new version (1.4.4) works great! I access my list from the "Options" pull-down (though it is only available when I have a "compose message" window open). I can now switch between five different signature blocks (one is even in UTF-8 Chinese) effortlessly. Wonderful functionality!!!

Does exactly what it says and it does it gracefully. Excellent piece of software!
