Two versions for different users with different needs:
a) Bamboo Feed Reader for Desktop
b) Bamboo Feed Reader for Smart Devices
Rating is for desktop version 1.9 which is dearly beloved and just right in terms of design and useability.

Old version design was neat and convenient while the new one is suitable only for tablet users. It's very wide, the space is used very inefficiently for desktop users, the fonts are so large that my eyes just doesn't know where I should look for my feed.

The strength of this reader compared to others was its efficient use of space, vital if you have a large number of feeds and want to see at a glance what's of interest. Unfortunately, the developer decided to change this for version 2.0, which uses larger fonts, gaps between items, and as a result seems to show only around half as many items per page. I reverted to 1.9, and would recommend anyone else doing the same if content is more important to you than white space.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.2.1-signed).The aim is to improve readability. A new version will be released with several display density options.

The best Firefox feed gets anew look, but all features are still there. Great job!
The new keyboard shortcuts will require a habituation period, but it's for a good cause.

OK, I found the old version 1.9 and re-installed it. Phew!
Now, one question for the more experienced among you: How can I enable automatic updates for FF add-ons BUT exclude one single add-on? Is that even possible? For now, I have to go with setting all add-ons on manual update, which is far from ideal.
Thanks for any input, highly appreciated!
And Julien, sorry again, but I really absolutely don't like the new look and I think it's far more complicated and confusing than the old one.
Other than that, you did a great job on Bamboo, thanks again!
You could deactivate automatic updates from the Firefox add-ons tab. Open the add-on description by double clicking it on the add-on list.

Bamboo does exactly what I want it to, but the memory leaks severely limit its usability to the point of needing to restart Firefox way too often. Unfortunate

I know this is in Firefox but I wonder why it is not available in a single addon for Thunderbird (checked dozens of them). Anyway thank you - the addon itself works well

Excellent add-on, but maybe you should add backward compatibility with live bookmarks for firefox sync or you should add your own sync server/integration with exist server. First would be perfect. Anyway, i love it.

When Google reader warned of going out I had to look for another reader. Feedly seemed to be getting all the press, so I tried it. I was happy with it for awhile then they changed it. the left columns only showed with a mouse over then disappeared when the mouse moved away. This and other changes made it very annoying,so I tried Bamboo.
Bamboo works flawlessly. The thing that stands out most is that it is an extremely clean interface.
I highly recommend Bamboo!

The best replacement for Google Reader and Google Reader Watcher that I have found.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.1.1-signed).Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I really like this reader, it has most of the features a "normal" user would be looking for.
Some "quick wins" that would be nice:
- Show the year in the article timestamp
- Adjustable time for article retention
- When clicking on a feed title in an aggregated list, expand the containing folder when drilling down to that feed
Some "power" features that would be nice would be:
- Saved searches/filters
- Make all settings customizable for individual feeds
- A "reading pane" so you can see the article list and article content at the same time
Thank you for this great reader, for now I think it is the best Firefox-based reader available, with "Brief" being a close 2nd.

so i was enjoying this addon until a blackout in my house happened some 15 minutes ago. when i restarted, all feeds were gone, so i guess i'll start saving again the 50+ feeds i had there... on a more reliable reader that is.

Everything imported fine, but it has not updated since I installed it. Going to use Feedly instead.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.1.1-signed).Once you have imported your feeds you need to click on the "update" button (or activate automatic updates).
I think it is not so complicated.
Saying "does not work" is simply a lie.
