Never used a software with so many errors as this one. Languages versions are extremely faulty, for example German: a terrible mixture of German and English. Moreover very confusing and cumbersome. The old version 0.19.10.2 was much clearer, faster, more understandable - and worked almost error free. Now I killed the new version and reinstalled the old version 0.19.10.2 - so I have a correct working forecast. With correct language, 5 days forecast, clear menu - it's really wonderful to use a correct working software like this old one. I don't know what the author sniffed before he released the 2.x-Version but he shouldn't sniff it again. FIRST ask the user and THEN do the new version - not vice versa!

This is a follow-on review for the update. Sorry, but you've lost another star now. Why not the customisable extended forecast you can view on your browser? Why not day and night view? Why not ability to add data to view on display? Time to revert to the previous version where I can view these things at a glance without mouse-over, clicking etc

To Mousky: Sorry if I am not more explicit in my words. I would like to say that all users still have an alternative in previous versions ... and most of them (I guess) is not a donator ... we are treating of a freeware ....
But well, I have to agree with you. You are right when you say that a new add-on with other name could finish with the endless discussion.

@ablize: Just because you do not agree with the complaints, does not make the them useless or invalid. Criticism is just as, if not more, important than praise. Plenty of Forecastfox users loved the pre-2.0 add-on because it was completely customizable. The fact that the developer spent a lot of time to expand the customization of the program confirms that it was an important feature to users.

Forecastfox Weather 2.0 is a completely different add-on from the previous version and should have been promoted as such. The developer confirms that their intention was to simplify the add-on so that it could be coded across different browsing platforms and in responses to data changes at AccuWeather. That is fine. Their prerogative. Give it a new name - Forecastfox Weather 2.0 - and list it separate from the old version.

I am going back to previous version. I don't like the settings, the space it takes up.

however, I love the earlier versions. Thank you and keep up the good work.

If it ain't broke don't fix it! I've reverted back to 0.9.10.2 because 2.0 sucks! I've downloaded the xpi to keep in case they remove it. The UI is awful, not customizable, and useless. I've been using Forecastfox for years and always like the updates, but this one isn't worth installing! I love 0.9.10.2's popup for options instead of using the browser. Please listen to your user base and revert back to the old version's UI!

A major backward step. I don't want to have to open a web page to see the five day forecast. I want to hold my cursor over the icons to see the details for the next week, not the next few days. New popups are hideous.

Where can I get a copy of version 1.9?

I still rate Forecastfox highly despite the recent updates to version 2 and then 2.0.1 causing stability issues. I have tested both and although i like the new layout, i have had to revert back to version 0.9.10.2.
The problem i noted with the newer versions was that if you have saved sessions spread across mutiple windows, the 1st window and tabs load up fine, however; the 2nd window with saved tabs does not. The URL's for each tab are visible in each of the tabs, but the tabs are empty/blank and they will not load, regardless of how many times you refresh. Forecastfox is a good add-in and works well, but 2 recent disappointing updates have spoilt it for multiple-window users. Please, Please, Please fix this problem!!!!

It shows me what I want to see on the radar. It gives me relatively accurate temps for my area. I only have problems with it when Firefox decides to forget what buttons/toolbars I have activated. In this case I have to restart Firefox and reposition everything. However, that is not due to this addon.

finally! after suffering with firefox for months I finally discover what was causing my Firefox to freeze for 10 seconds every 3 to 5 minutes. I was thinking it has to be something accessing the Internet or running a program again and again. Always 10 seconds. On videos I could listen to the audio while the video was frozen. On games I just have to wait and pray I didn't lose while waiting. While browsing I couldn't move the screen for those 10 seconds. I tried to disable other add-ons since I though they were working in the background. Never assume that the forecast, that for me is suppose to update the data every hour or so, and apparently is doing it every 4 to 5 minutes. Now is disable... done!

This might not the the top of the line radar program, but it shows me storms for my area that 2 others didn't even show up on the screen. What more can you say, it may not alert you but it is accurate and it is free.
