This is one of the best extensions I've found. I agree, this should be built in to Firefox.

Привет! Спасибо, что добавил поддержку Mozilla Thunderbird. Очень этому рад! Только есть маленький баг: при загрузке, помимо Download Status Bar также появляется и стандартное окно загрузки. В остальном работает хорошо.

Thank you so much for your review and kind words.
Thunderbird opens up its own Download Manager window as default. I will look if it can be disabled from preferences. Thanks for the suggestion.

Excellent tool. Saves a lot of time, and has great features. It's amazing that it's not part of firefox, they should pay you for this! : )
** Please add limit of concurrent downloads, I'm sure that will help many people.

Great stuff!
Only thing I'd like to see extra would be to have another Progress Alignment with 2 rows:
1st row: Filename
2nd row: Time + Speed + Percent
Hi Pe-te,

I have been using this add-on ever since I stumbled upon it in this add-ons site, and ever since I could not stand having the download window pop-up appear right smack dab in the middle of where I was working with Firefox. You have outdone yourself as far as the pounding out the updates and adding feature-after-feature. Kudos to you (and your team?) !!!
The only thing that you need to do is add an Ignore List because I use a download accelerator application that handles all my ZIP files and Firefox will not allow that extension (the accelerator) to take over because it hits the Download Bar first before the accelerator's and thus it just saves the file in the current Fx download folder instead within my compressed files folder.
Please add an ignore list (I believe you had one in the initial version)...
Other than that GREAT JOB!
Cheers!
Hi Spirit Wolfe,
Thank you so much for your review and kind words. Glad you like it.
Does this bug happen when you disable the add-on?
Do you direct zip files to DAP before zip download starts?

manca solo la possibilità di far sì che il prg metta determinati file in determinate cartelle.. così da mettere ordine nei download in automatico. per il resto non gli manca nulla.

Hi Szalgiris, thanks alot for this excellent add-on. I especially love the feature of setting an audio file for notification after all downloads are completed.
Two questions:
+ Will Download status bar prevent my PC for going into hibernation mode while downloads are running?
+ Can Download status bar be configured to set my PC in e. g. hibernation mode after all downloads are completed?
Hi chabermu,
Thank you so much for your review and kind words.
As far as I know, hibernation is handle by Operating System and Firefox can not disable hibernation. I will look what can I do for hibernation after all downloads are completed.

This is a handy addon but there is one thing I'd like to have an additional option for, and that's to be able to preselect any folder as another option/default for the "send to folder" function. The manual search for my "custom" choice every time is not as convenient, and neither are the current desktop or downloads folder options.

I liked this plugin and worthy successor to Pre-Firefox 26 version of Download Statusbar.
However my only gripe is that it does not have the very useful feature from the original Download Statusbar which is the "Automatically continue downloads in the download manager when the browser closes". Please consider implementing this into this version plugin.
The reason I ask this is sometimes I have many tab windows open and Firefox is zapping a lot of resources and would like to restart the browser but I would be in the middle of downloading. The old Download Statusbar would pop open a small window when the browser is closed and slowly the resources would go down over time while I do other things.
Hi akiha,
Thank you so much for your review and kind words.
It is already there. You can enable feature by modifying extensions.downloadbar.continuedownloadsonquit preference in about:config.

Add a button you can re-download the content again .. for reasons of malfunction or interruption of the Internet in the following link or any other reasons during download images .. For example, the continuous updating of the tool attractive and works great .. but lacks button re-download when interrupted downloads.
Thank you for your attention and team work
Hi MicroBesT,
Thank you so much for your review .
The server that you download from needs to support resume functionality for re-downloading. You can first Pause and then Resume download if the server supports resuming. Or you can right click on download item and click "Copy Download Link" and paste into location bar to re-download if download session is still available on the server computer.

hi,
This addon has really usefull features, that could be replicated to use with Conkeror (or any of the others). However, my question for the developper is: would you be interested in turning your downbar into a fullblown commandline tool? This would be one of the last pieces of the puzzle to avoid clicking, as a plugin for Vimperator (or..), or as a new feature, a third UI option for the Download Status Bar. Don't get me wrong: the present UI is absolutely elegant. But please consider below thoughts.
The "right click on a download item" action could become a single line auto-suggestion commands like `:dl setup.exe -pause`or `:dl setup.exe -yankurl' where both the download item and the context menu action param are completed (where no param means open);
Providing an extra item for the 'status' option, which would display the number of active/completed downloads when not in EX mode (I.E. typing a command), so no need to include an extra panel on the statusline;
It would be awesome if the popup information (without preview image) where to be continuously updated as a multi-line command message after typing something like `:dl setup.exe -show` or `:dl -show` until escaped;
anyway GREAT addon!, cheers,
Bart

Hi bart,
Thank you so much for your review and kind words.
It is great idea. I am planning to add power download features for the add-on after I freeze the interface and code for main functionalities. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey man.
Feature request:
The file info pops ups each and everytime my cursor passes anywhere near the status bar.
Could you please implement a delay function there? It is quite disruptive.
Thanks.

Hey Szalgiris.
Can't seem to reply directly to your comment, so I'm editing mine.
Perhaps this image will make things a little clear: http://i.imgur.com/EHokIk0.png
In this instance, I launched Chrome and in the split-second my cursor passed the download bar, the file info popped-up in Firefox. I hope I'm making sense here.
In any case, I really appreciate the interest you're taking here and the work you're doing with this ext.
You know, you should really include an option for Bitcoin donations for your users. Cheers.
