I have used this plugin with Thunderbird 2 on Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10 for a year.
Now it is not working with with Thunderbird 3 on Ubuntu Lucid (10.04) amd64.
Thunderbird didn't even start when the plugin was installed. I had to delete the addon from the extensions directory to be able to start TB.
Please update to a TB3 and Lucid compatible version because I love and need this plugin.
Thanks

It's a very good plugin! Thanks you.
But I have some notice, I thick a good option would be not to remove the window notifying a new letter until it is read.

Works great for Thunderbird in Ubuntu 9.10

This addon does nothing at all in Fedora 12, Firefox 3.5.8, x86_64.
No icon in my system tray.
Hitting X button simply closes Firefox as normal.
No functionality whatsoever.

Using (firetray_0.2.5_dev.xpi) with ubuntu 9.10 for both Firefox and Thuderbird. Works very well. I find the plugin very useful. Thank you.

Using Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx; thunderbird 3.03
Restoring the window only works using the contextmenu and the list of minimized windows. A Click causes a total crash of thunderbird. That's a major bug!!

This plugin causes thunderbird to crash at startup, before a window is even displayed. Completely useless.

Works perfectly with Thunderbird on Ubuntu 9.10 except that it does not restore the application on left click. That is really a major usability bug.
If it did that one simple thing, I would give 5 stars. As long as it doesn't, I will have to look for some other solution.

Also works well with FF 3.6 (in Debian).

As previously stated, it would have been better if there was the chance to raise the window by clicking on the icon. Moreover, it sometimes reports an e-mail even if there's nothing new there, while thunderbird marks all mails as already read.

The dev release doesn't segfault but it doesn't minimize to tray either. Just doesn't do anything at all. Too bad I can't use one of my favourite add-ons at home. :(
I'm on F11 x86_64, Thunderbird 3.0.1

This is one of my most long-awaited plugins for Thunderbird on Linux! I still was using Mozilla New Mail Icon (http://moztraybiff.mozdev.org) but it didn't work with versions 3.0 and higher. Also it didn't allow us so much customization. Thanks for your the great work :) .
