the Settings/Options process is "quirky"--if you change/set anything, then you have to be sure to reset *everything* to what you want because something screwy happens when opening the dialog (different settings from those you selected before)... but how often do you really need to do that once you have it setup the way you want it? (still, this should be fixed)

*instant* (no joke!) access to a (max.) 4-tabbed note-taking utility. Provides only basic ASCII (possibly unicode) editor. I use this extension all the time, even when I'm dead.

It used to be a major commodity in my browser, has stopped working in Firefox 3.0.7. Please update.

P.S.- for everyone interested: after a google search I came across an extension called FoxNotes. It turned out to be a direct continuation of QuickNote, integrating into the browser the same way. It manages up to ten note-tabs, and has more sensible customization.
So the update exists, it only isn't publicized on this site - rather inexplicably.

I like this add-on and use it very often. please make it available for newer FF versions like the 3.1/3.5 betas.
@paradiso: how do make it work in 3.2a1? the add-on seems limited to versions prior to 3.0.

I found this extension extremely useful. I could have 4 different tabs (which is all I need). On the one I put messages and phone numbers. On one I put information from the web. The third I used to store information about firefox. I didn't even need 4. It is also possibly to save automatically by setting the save after typed characters value to 1 instead of 10. I found this to be a good solid extension with almost no bugs.

Love it. But the shortcut CTRL+F7 doesnt work for me. Might be because im using foreign keyboard settings. please fix this. Simple quit by presing ESC would also be great :)

Yes, simple! But too simple! Do what it is meant to do, but a good looking UI doesn't sounds bad at all. Instead of windowed notes, you could make it popup-like notes. In practice, blend it to firefox and make it more stylish. Finally, I think you could make customizations resources much more simple than they are right now! Waiting for updates, so I can give ya 5 stars.

Simple and sweet. Simply open the notepad, type in and close (autosaves too!). Can be used with ease in daily tasks such as recording progress in work and games. A long awaited excellent add on

This is definitely on my must-have extensions list. I've always used Notepad for this kind of thing, but having the function instantly available from the toolbar with all former data always there is so much more convenient. Love the save-link feature and the ability to float the box. A keeper!
