I believe there is a conflict between Manually Sort Folders and Thunderbird Biff.

With the latest versions of TB, FF and each of those addons in a new TB profile, once the order of the mail accounts is changed using this addon, the TB Biff online notifier icon in the FF tray reverts to displaying TB offline status, even when TB is online.

Can only be remedied (to get the TB Biff FF tray icon working correctly again) by creating a complete new TB profile.

Please fix. Thanks.

Great little addon to reorganize your left pane folder structure. Works well with Thunderbird 24 beta. Highly recommended.

I also can't move RSS folders above mail accounts in Thunderbird 24. Please fix it, with Thunderbird 17 it was working!

Hi,

Apparently something changed in Thunderbird, which I failed to notice. This is currently being tracked as https://github.com/protz/Manually-Sort-Folders/issues/21 but don't hold your breath, I'm fairly busy right now :-)

This is an essential add-on if you want control over your folder listings. Works at every level, from accounts on down to every folder level. Also allows you to set your preference for the startup folder.

Merci.

Works great. Did exactly what I needed it to do. Makes no sense that Thunderbird doesn't have the feature and an add on was necessary. But thanks a lot!

Does what should be Thunderbird's inherent features.

Good Job Jonathan:-)

This was the greatest add-on and most used. A must if you have many email accounts. It worked great up till version 12 and no longer works. I am seriously considering downgrading just to have this add-on work again.

Hi,

Several people, including myself, have been able to get the addon to work perfectly. I suspect something is wrong with your particular setup.

Thunderbird 13.0 on linux. Very strange. I really only use this add-on for sorting my accounts and although these are still in the right order in the Account Settings window, the menus now show a very different order. Even if I change the order in the window, the menus stay the same.
Has something changed in Thunderbird? It worked OK in 12.

It is a really great addon, a must for everyone dealing with lot of folders. I lack only one feature, the possibility to mark a subfolder containing folders as "don't sort", so the folders in the subfolder would always appear in alphabetical order. Is there a possibility to have this in the near future? Or alternatively as a workaround a sort subfolder alphabeticaly button could do the trick by pressing it when needed.

I was delighted to find this as it's just so useful. But, sadly, it doesn't work with a Global inbox. It worked fine until I switched to a Global inbox. After that, TB would hang and be "not responding" every other (2nd) time I started or restarted it, leaving me with no option but to kill the process in order to close and restart TB. As the support site's not had any replies to queries for 3 months, I'm wondering if the dev is still maintaining the extension? If he is, I do hope he can fix this please.

Which support site? I usually reply, if not, that means your problem fell under the radar. Please ping me using my email address (available on the addon's page).

I LOVE this extension. It does exactly what's needed, no more, no less, and does so perfectly. I would, however, like to see a toolbar button created so I don't have to wade through menus to re-adjust. But it is awesome, and just exactly what I wanted. Thank you!
