Hi,I was about to install the add-on, but realized that the Author of 'password exporter' is not yet verified.Mozilla password list can be a sensitive list and the verifiability/credibility of the author becomes an issue here.I will not feel comfortable installing PE untill I see 'Author is verified' sign in the installation box.Thanks,O.

Love this add-on: great for when a) your hard drive fails for no discernible reason whatsoever, or b) your new RAID array either drops out of RAID array, can't find RAID array, or fails massively and loses everything and says your machine has no OS, or c) your new backup external drives seize either a day or two weeks after you take them out of the box and you have lost access to your important data: this little proggie can just be a life-saver with those pesky password protections. Worked great with clean reinstall, clean installations, and clean update installations. No bugs, no problems to report at this time; works exactly as promised.

This works of ff4 great.
Transfered from ff3.6 to a ff4 with no issues.
Since xmarks byos does not work on ff4 this is a great way to keep your files local.
Thank you.

Had a problematic FF v4.0 profile so created a new one, but wanted to retain the 120 or so trivial, non-financial IDs and pwds. Installed this extension in the old profile, exported the IDs and pwds, then installed the extension to the new profile and imported them. Extension worked exactly as I had hoped. Thanks for this utility!

This add-on sounds like exactly what I need, but it doesn't work for me. I exported my passwords as XML, moved them to my new computer, and when I try to import them it gives an error that it can't parse the file. Since the key feature doesn't work, I have to give it 1 star. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Excellent addon. I needed a way to just locally backup passwords and this is the only way I know. Sometimes I need to quickly check what the password is without opening firefox or during something that went kaput!

great, i love this addon. Any chance we will see a Safari version of this? it'd be so awesome to be able to import passwords from firefox into safari and vice versa

This add-on along with two other are really nice. I was wondering, if there is a way to BATCH export the userid's and passwords. I run batch files (*.bat) to zip up my files, and if this could be ran from the FF commandline, and dump the stuff out, it would really be nice.

I'm happy with it. I used it to export and then import all my passwords. I've used it 5 or 6 times and it worked perfect every time and couldn't be easier to understand, it's not complicated in the least.

This is terrific. Perfect. I totally deleted all of FF to get back to the Pre-4.0 debacle, and it worked perfectly for me. All my passwords were restored with no effort. Now I have my PWs in both CSV (xls) and html. Thanks Justin. I'll look for more from you.

It does not import passwords from pw exports in csv format for websites that use http authentication instead of a web form login page. Handy for backups though.

Received XML parsing error when trying to import the file previously exported by Password Exporter 1.2.1. After many attempts, using several different programs including Notepad, XML Notepad, Word 2007, to compare and edit the minimal (but working) export file to the broken file which contained all my passwords, I found something that worked.Using the text viewing program Getdiz, I found a difference in the file header that was not visible using the other programs that once deleted allowed the file to be imported into Firefox properly. First line of the working file "<xml>" first line of the broken file contained "<xml>". Removed the 3 characters in front of the <xml> tag, saved the file, and all was working again.
