Cake to setup with the undaunted User Guide. This should usher in a new era of PGP which was impossible to teach non-Outlook users to. I know I'm gonna try to at least show some mates who wouldn't dream of it but might like to try it now.
TO NEW USERS: I've always misplaced keys and PGP public keys cannot be deleted. Enigmail's easy key-wizard saves a revocation certificate.
ALWAYS having a backup of this eases key management. Get one of those free online backup accounts, like DropBox and store the revocation key there.

El complemento funciona perfectamente, es muy sencillo de utilizar, hay que intalar gpg por otro lado, imprescindible para la privacidad de los emails.
Muy recomendable.

@martin42, I can't thank you enough for providing that link to the alternative download... the auto-installer didn't fancy my 64-bit system. Big thanks! Cheers

The auto-installer in Thunderbird doesn't always get it right.
Go to http://enigmail.mozdev.org/download/index.php if the default version won't install on your version of Thunderbird

Seems to be broken in Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid X86_64.
"Enigmail" could not be installed because it is not compatible with your Thunderbird build type (Linux_x86_64-gcc3). Please contact the author of this item about the problem

Hi, on my Mac OX snow leopard I update my thunderbird for 3.1 and the enigmail too, but now I have a error with opengpg:
Could not start the gpg-agent program which is needed for your GnuPG version 2.0.14.

Works fine with Thunderbird 3.0.5 under Win7 x64 if you use the correct version of Enigmail (1.0.1)

Doesn't work on 64-bit Vista Thunderbird 3.0.4. Both Enigmail 1.1 and 0.9 say they are incompatible.
0.9 worked great under Thunderbird 2, is an awesome tool. Our entire company uses it instead of Outlook and are happy to have it. Hope the compatibility bugs get worked out.

"Enigmail" no pudo instalarse porque no es compatible con el tipo de versión de Icedove (Linux_x86_64-gcc3). Por favor, póngase en contacto con el autor de este elemento acerca del problema.

Same problem as grouss has reported below. Installation reports Enigmail 1.1-tb.linux to be incompatible to Linux_x86_64-gcc3 and Thunderbird 3.0.4, Ubuntu 10.x.
Is there a 64bit-issue?

This addon works flawlessly. The setup assistant automatically finds the key associated with my identities, the UI tells me about encrypted and decrypted messages automatically, and I don't have to manage all things by myself. This is great, congrats to the Enigmail Team!
