I really liked this add-on a lot, but since updating Thunderbird to 45.0, emails will not load in the preview pane unless I disable it.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.11.1).

You need to make sure the addon is up-to-date, then restart Thunderbird

It's an wonderful add-on but after installing this if open any conversation, i am not able to search any keyword in mail content.
ctrl+F or ctrl+shift+F (these 2 are tuhnderbird key shorcuts) doesn't work even after disabling ctrl+F shortcut for this add-on
Any solution for this ???

Esta extensão é muito, muito útil e prática, deveria ser integrada ao Thunderbird por padrão, assim como o Lighting..

Só poderiam remover o "padding" na exibição do e-mail, que está desperdiçando espaço na tela e ficando meio.. feio :v

The idea is very good, this can be very useful.
So far I've seen 4 issues:

1. It combines many different threads (same people but different subject/in-reply-to/references) into one single conversation. This happened after I moved some of this conversation to a sub-folder, and realised that this plugin does not work in sub-folders. So I moved them back to Inbox, then bang all those different threads are combined together into a single one. What a disaster. How can I restore this?

2. As mentioned above, it does not work in sub-folders.

3. "Fit images" add-on doesn't work anymore (of course, because it is a different message reader). If this resizes large images to fit the screen it'll be perfect.

4. When the tree is collapsed, it is NOT showing the date and sender of the latest message, confusing (known issue)

I am using the "Thunderbird 38.4.0".
I am one's favorite this add-on from one year ago.
However, why is the update of the "Thunderbird Conversations 2.10.1-let-fixed" is impossible.

Moreover, recently, to be in trouble, "thread view" is, to combine the other different Message.
This symptom occurs at Reply to the Message.
Minute that arrived immediately after the Message is, It binds to reply, it can not be separated.
If not the Reply is it looks fine.

In order to not be normal Reply, we disable this addon.
After disable, it is normal.

Please give me your support.

Excellent but for two things I find really, REALLY annoying.
In the Inbox, when messages are ordered by dates, the conversations appear ‘misplaced’.
For example, I have a conversation running for a month now. I received the initial email on October 26 but, I my inbox, although the most recent email was on November 26, it is still being shown as October 26 but as if that was not confusing enough, appears between November 6 and 10. How messy can it get? Try finding something... When I think about that conversation, it’s the most recent email that’s in my mind. Therefore, I feel it should be ordered according to that date. Also, in the conversations themselves, I would appreciate it if there was the option to change the order. In my inbox, I have my messages ordered with the most recent ones at the top. I’d like the option to do the same within conversations.
WARNING!: If you deactivate the module, your Inbox will not revert to its former state.
The changes made seem to be irreversible!
After disabling Conversations, the emails are still grouped per conversations but now I can only see the first two lines of each email in the preview pain. The only way to expand them is to double click on the thread in the Inbox and then Thunderbirds will automatically open every email in the thread in its own tab. What a mess with long conversations!
The only way I was able to get back to a proper Inbox was to shut down Thunderbird, find the email folder on my computer and delete it. Then restart Thunderbird and have it download the emails again. Lucky I am using IMAP.
WARNING! WARNING!: If you are using POP3 and do not keep copies on the server, I do not recommend installing that module because you’ll have no way of going back should you want to.
It has the potential to be excellent but it's not there yet. It needs to be FULLY reversible and get the dates right.

I think you just missed the threading feature of the thread pane. There's a small twister (triangle) next to a collapsed thread that allows you to expand it and see the individual message. You can control this setting with View > Threads > Threaded / Unthreaded (in the menus).

All of your comments would probably be addressed by playing with it.

Concerning your specific complaint about the "wrong" date being shown, that's a long-standing bug in Thunderbird over which I have no control.

I've found it quite useful, once I got used to it. However, I've noticed a problem that's gotten in my way a few times: when I try to forward an individual message, it sometimes fails to include the message text -- all I get is the message header. This seems only to happen with messages that are after the first message in a conversation. (I work around it by hitting "Reply to all", then fixing the subject and headers.)

The "forward this conversation" item at the bottom of each conversation does work; I still want the ability to forward individual messages, however. (Request: this item inserts the text "Here's a conversation I thought you might find interesting!" -- I'll always replace that. It'd be nice, in a future release, to make that text configurable.)

It's a very good add-on, and a more function will makes it perfect.
In the massage thread, I want to use "displayname" insted of "firstname + Lastname".

It's a awesome extension, and a little function will make it better.
Details including cc addresses, subjects and more take too much space , and my layout is “classic view", sometimes I need to scroll a large section to view the mail content, if details can be hide by default, or at least an option here, life will be better.

Otherwise a very good and nice add-on, but if I have multiple accounts with tens of thousands of e-mail then Thunderbird with this add-on gets slower and slower over time.

I really LOVE this esxtension! So far it works very well! However, the extension that integrates with Conversations (Thunderbird Contacts) has been removed and I think it will never be released again. Any chance to add support for another extension like Contact Photos? I've tried it and it works very well... but the photo aren't displayed after installing this extension. It would be wonderful if the developer would add support for Contact Photos...

First of all, thanks for the great work, just love this addon.

After the last TB update there are some issues with the delete button in version 2.9.0. Installing 2.9.1 will fix this! You can find it under Version Information - See complete version history.

Hi, Everything worked very well until the update to the latest version of your module and overnight, I could not read my messages. Only the title of the message was displayed! First I disabled the module to verify that it was indeed at fault, and seeing that everything was back to normal without this module, I deleted it.
Note that Thunderbird is current and I use Windows 7 64bit SP1 update. I am French.

Apparently, Conversations 2.9 is not compatible with Thunderbird 31.7.0. So my remarks concern Conversations 2.8.1.
The main problem I see is that is not possible to drag and drop attachments to the directory I want to save them in, which would be more efficient than using a "classical" interface.
