Conversations works... but I had two gripes that were sufficient to cause me to disable it.

1) I like the Message pane's toolbar as it was. If it had simply added a button or two for managing multiple items in a conversation/thread, that would be acceptable. But it completely changes the appearance (and usefulness) of the Message pane's toolbar. There needs to be an option to minimize the changes to the toolbar.

2) The messages are all wrapped in some border with rounded corners... I don't need the extra padding or the borders. Trying to fancy it up just reduces the amount of room that I have to view emails and increases clutter. Simpler is better, guys.

Genial. Creo que Thunderbird debería fijarse mucho en esta extensión para evolucionar en el futuro. Sobretodo la forma de ver la cadena de mensajes y la forma de responder rápido.

Excellent improvement. I like this threaded view and it's IMO also better as in Postbox. Good work!

Nice one. There is just a small bug. I use TB portable with enigmail and gnupg 1.4 portable. I tried to update to gnupg 2. As this was not successfull I downgraded to 1.4 again. And then this bug occured:
I wasn´t able to save configuration of enigmail anymore with actived TB conversations (next mentioned as TBC). With deactivated TBC I can saved it, encrypted mails were decrypted. After activating TBX again this was true also until a restart. After a restart enigmail asks again for an installation of gnupg and configuration can not be saved.
I solved that problem with uninstallation of TBC, configuration of enigmail and then a new installation of TBC.
Hope this helps either developers and/or users.

I wish it would stop adding one extra hour to my sent mails and adding them to the bottom of the convos.

It's great but it would be nice to re-order the conversations (new on top). Also I think it's a bit too colorful (every person has a different color and bold font, folders are white text in a dark box)....not sure if there's a way to change that. But anyway it really helps organization.

I have found that since I started using this add-on that it saves me a lot of time and frustration.

I was somewhat daunted by some of the critical reviews, but have very few issues with it in the three weeks I have been using it.

I suppose that everyone configures Thunderbird differently and sees something different. Also, some may not compact folders often or may have corrupted databases and not know it, but for me it is a very valuable addition to Thunderbird and IMO should be part of the software itself.

The only obvious issue I have is that when I open a new window when reading a message, that window is oversize and uncontrollable. I'm willing to live with that until such time as it is fixed.

I'm giving this five stars because it is so valuable to me and I am willing to overlook a few little bugs.

Even without this add-on, I suggest setting Thunderbird to compact folders more often as the default is too seldom -- IMO You'll be happy if you do.

Doesn't work. I enabled it and nothing changed. Also, the unified inbox was messed up, displaying garbage.

This add-on restructures the whole TB interface in a too simplistic way which impairs productivity. Recommended only if you don't care about productivity.

The main points I dislike are:
1. . .no "reply" button
2. . .no "delete message" button
3. . .interface bloated with useless buttons
4. . .useless inline quick-reply form. I use Quicktext 0.9 to aid email writing and deploy templates. Inline reply is just useless
5. . .the UI is mostly not customizable, except for minor (useless) details
6. . .unpleasant color scheme: orange, red, blue, gray, light blue. I dislike it.

I would suggest to introduce /way/ more customization options in the add-on settings tab, to best fit everybody's needs or tastes.

Features I'd like to have, either available by settings or by default:
1. . .comprehensive UI headers, soberly showing email subject, source and destination address
2. . .sober buttons, showing /both/ icon and text label
3. . .no CSS shades or blurred round bar effects
4. . .more sober, accessible, and customizable UI

It would be perfect if it would be possible to show the conversation by date in descending order.

Bonjour,

Conversations really helps you keep track of your mails and their context - it gets rid of the old Thunderbird problem that there was no easy way to jump to a sent message with the same subject, for reference purposes. It's really well thought-out and the switch was very seemles to me, although this plugin offers quite a paradigm shift in how you work with your mails.

However, if you write a reply to a thread and somebody replies before you're done, your draft is lost. I'm sure this can only be a temporary issue that will be fixed soon, but for now it makes it kind of dangerous to compose longer mails directly inside Thunderbird.

This is tracked as https://github.com/protz/GMail-Conversation-View/issues/730#issuecomment-54701790 ; any help is welcome as I currently don't have much time to fix issues.

Very useful addon, brings Gmail grouping functionality in desktop client. However, when I am replying a message in thread and I receive a new one (in that thread) I lost everything and I have to write it again
