Best FTP Client for Firefox. Only complaint, we can't choose the default chmod access for files.

I'm useing FFox3beta5 and is really a good browser.
But FireFtp still old for this version of FFox

I can live without many of my add-ons, but FireFTP is so indispensable that I've added it to my home page tabs. I wish the tab would display a favicon, though. Is this possible?
My other wish is that the column widths would be sticky from one session to another after I adjust them to achieve my optimal view.

Use it all the time - BUT am frustrated that the Open and Open with don't work. Am on version 0.97.1 on Firefox 2.0.0.14 on openSUSE 10.3. When I try to add an extension, ".php" is shown as "php" only (that may be on purpose) but after adding a program, kwrite or swriter, it never shows in the right-click dialogue, though it is remembered next time. Any help?

This is an absolutely useful tool. I'm waiting for a version that will work on Firefox 3.0 on Linux. I'm using the Firefox beta 3 beta 5, it came along with Ubuntu 8.04 and I came here to get the plugin, but unfortunately it's not available for FF 3 beta. When do you think you can release a version for Firefox 3? Or perhaps you're waiting for the stable version of FF 3?

I also am "patiently" waiting a FF3 update. Fireftp ended my search for a solid ftp client for both personal and professional use. I use it daily and have had to leave FF2 installed on my machine until an updated Add-On comes out. Thanks in Advance.

One of the very best IMO – it's one of the best FTP clients I've ever used tucked handily into a FireFox tab.
Please let there be a version for FF3 soon... I swear I'll donate.

I know you know this stuff inside and out. You know so much that I think you forgot a minor detail.\r\n\r\nI think the *.ini file format should be included in your ASCII list so that automatic downloads don\'t download it incorrectly. An example might be: \" config.ini \"\r\n\r\nJust a thought - great job on the extension

Yeah... this one really helps... pretty cool since fireftp is in your browser tab... for someone who wants to try to do ftp jobs in firefox... don't hesitate any longer... :)

tracyanne, there is an option located here =>Tools... Options... General Tab.
Heading of Sessions uncheck the Remember Directory Listings, this has worked for me.
Perfect 5Stars, I previously used GlobalScapes CuteFTP but this is way faster and doesn't use as many resources either. Fantastic work!

Very good, but one thing will stop my regular use, it is the problem of the cache. If you upload or change a file on your ftp site, you will not see the change unless you clear the firefox cache. This is such a good program that the 'bug' is a real shame. If it were to be fixed I would go for 5 stars
