With this extension, TB tabs are starting to gain functionality, as well as converging with Firefox tabs which are far more useful.
Very simple and does exactly what it is supposed to
What TB needs is an addon like Tab Mix Plus, or Colorful Tabs to really make tabs useful. This is a good start, I hope the developer carries on and adds more functions to it, or brings out more addons with other tab functions.

Could it be made to email the whole page with pictures automatically or as an option rather than highlighted text?
Saving of a few favourite email addresses or sending to a default one would be good as well.

than the standard notifications, better looking, configurable, better than growl for windows too
I would like a separate notification facility when TB detects and update to itself or an extension. Also different notices for different folders/mail senders/accounts

It's good that a beta has been produced, but it lacks the navigation settings to select a message when you change folders etc. this is a very useful setting and I don't see much gain from installing the add-on without those settings. Hope the developer adds them

Something's wrong with the latest update for me anyway.
I'm not impressed that the update caused all my account colours to disappear. even worse, it conflicts with 2 add-ons I'm using: "Show InOut 0.602" and "Address Book Display Name 0.2.2a (experimental)". Both modify the thread pane to show fields from the address book rather than the default 'To' 'From' fields. Both worked prior to the update. After the update, neither extension displays any entry for the sender's details, although the default fields work. No facility to go back to the previous version so this extension is disabled until it's fixed. I hope that's soon.
Display Name in Address Book

I've been looking for something like this for a long time.
This seemed almost perfect, and it is.
Using the 'party' column displays the contact's "display name" from the address book.
The only problem is that the email direction is wrong: emails I send are marked as emails sent to me, and emails I receive are marked as sent by me.
Developer, there doesn't seem to be any way to contact you so I hope you fix this code, or explain why I am wrong about it.
It'll be 5 stars if you do.

Has potential, but results a bit hit or miss.
Colours are weak/pastel and in the selection box are all so weak they appear almost the same.
Zebra stripes won't disappear in Thread window, and in compose window, FROM an TO boxes are not coloured.
What I expected/wish for is to be able to have Folder, Thread and Message windows, and the Compose window and the Text area, to have the same background colour depending on the account.
I use Border Color extension to help ensure I send from the correct account but it seems to conflict with this, but it is much better at showing the account being used in the compose stage

That extension isn't TB3 compatible... how can it be a replacement for this excellent TB extension?

Great extension, another that makes you wonder why it isn't built into TB in the first place. The author's page describes how to change the formatting for In and Out mails and also how to change the icons to make them easier to distinguish. I format 'Out' details in italic and slightly smaller font and point to a non-existent icon for outgoing mails so it doesn't display an icon, to make In and Out easier to recognise.
