You get what you want! It's exactly what I wanted, and this person has done it. If you use this, instead of using the built in restart buttons on the about:addons page, its faster.
It does still do the second firefox in the dock for OSX, but not as much as normal restarting.

It's fair. But it doesn't override conflicting hotkey. Nor does it show a warning. (eg: ctrl+shift+r)
Also it lacks an option for a verification dialog to prevent accidental restarts, which is a desired feature for restarting just as much as for exiting.

Good idea. Saves time looking for way to restart after adding extensions and quicker than menu . But the dark icon is invisible on even slightly dark themes. Would be better with intermediate color or optional color.

Point missing: If FX/TB has been started with console output, a restart will not start also the console.
Could that be set as an option .. or somehow?

Doing nicely what it has to do...just one thing, purely cosmetic, more "flashy" button ??? I"m using a dark theme (nasa night launch) and not easy to see it :D

Great addon! I love being able to restart when I want and it's really useful for restarting when you've installed some (other) addons, continued browsing, and need to restart.
A suggestion would be to be able to enable/disable the keyboard shortcut or menu entry (not both). Also, could you add a toolbar button? It'd be really handy and the addon logo would make a really awesome icon for the button.

Many thanks for this fine and small addon. I tried 2 other restart addons which didn' work with FF 22, and yours did immediately out of the bag.

I've used this to help me less painfully debug browser issues for a year or two now, and now it's going on my parents' computer. Thanks, Erik!
By the way, some of the previous reviewers owe this addon more stars, as it now has the option to disable the hotkey (just blank the relevant fields in Options, in the Add-ons Manager).

I agree with other reviewers that there needs to be an option to disable the shortcut. I would only ever want to explicitly restart my session - the shortcut can lead to a mistake.
Other than this, it's a great extension. I will upgrade my rating to 5 stars if this function is ever added.
