This is not bug report. All that matters to the common user is that even though it's been known not to work with FF51 (for quite a while), so far no *signed* fixed version has officially been released (by Mozilla?). So it's not like nobody saw this coming. Nevermind the stars.

I don't know how many millions of times this has to be said, but here goes one more time.

This is a review page, not a bugs report or feedback section. For reporting bugs go to the official Custom Buttons forums (http://custombuttons.sourceforge.net/forum/index.php). It's right there in the description of this add-on.

In the official forum (inside the Bug report section) you will find a fixed version of this add-on that has been published there for more than two months.

For people saying "JS opens new links -- always -- in new windows regardless of the browser setting". I tell them this: JS opens new links were YOU tell it to. Custom Buttons add-on has nothing to do with that. Again, ask your questions in the official forum.

And here is my review. Custom Buttons add-on keeps working despite all efforts by Mozilla to want to kill each and every one of the add-ons that are remotely useful.

В Custom Buttons 0.0.5.8.9 + Firefox48 не работает пункт в контекстном меню кнопок - Копировать код в буфер, а объект self.Help не отдаёт содержимое вкладки Справка.

As user archpro mentioned, JS opens new links -- always -- in new windows regardless of the browser setting, and this is really a problem.

I have set 'Tab Mix Plus' to perform 'Single Window Mode', a new tab rather than a new window is consistent of modern browsers and whatever add-on must leave this option available.

I am frustrated because I have several JScripts I wished to bring into buttons and 'Custom Buttons' because of its requirement of a new window when the browser is set to new tab is truly a handicap.

Please do get this policy or bug fixed.

Вот таким мусором размером более 64к забивает буфер обмена это дополнение.
Это очень мешает,так как я часто работаю с буфером обмена.
В других подобных переводчиках такой проблемы нет.

В остальном нормально.

1) JS opens new links _always_ in new windows regardless of the browser setting.

2) Only temporary files are opened in external editor, how to work with permanent files? The path and the file name should be a property of the button, don't you think ?

It doesn't work. I put "http://www.youtube.com" in the URL section, a name below and choose an icon. Whatever url I choose it displays "The button can not be created because it contains errors". Using Firefox 48 :(

I needed a specific button to avoid repeating a stupid "move to this folder" mouse click & move.

Got the script running in 5s. Hours of productivity loss avoided. Just YAY.

This add-on makes Thunderbird incredibly customisable. The only limitation is the user's own understanding of XUL, which in my case is not comprehensive--but in principle you can do anything. Absolutely brilliant--and it does work with TB 45. I had been stuck on TB 2.0.0.23 for seven years because of all the add-ons that TB 3 broke, but Custom Buttons just lets you get the functionality back.

Одно из самых полезнейших дополнений в firefox. Хорошо, что вышли новые версии, а то бы пришлось искать какой-нибудь другой браузер или сидеть на старых версиях.

If there is any button, the Firefox is started very slowly for 15-20 seconds. This issue appeared on 44 version. 43 everything is fine.

I use some buttons since years. (Clear SearchBar, URL-Tools, Easy Reader (1-click) and some others...)

Now, with FF 43 I feel no difference.

FF is as slow as usual ;-) (Have >40 addons installed)

The buttons, I use work good, since years.

I hope, they will work a lot of years along.
