Well after having the new Forecastfox installed for about a month and giving it a try I am going back to Forecastbar Enhanced there are too many changes from both the older version of Forecastfox & Forecastbar to forgive if it comes down to it I'll pick up where the author of Forecastbar left off when he joined up with Forecastfox.

I wish there was a rating for zero stars. This used to be my favorite add-on but now is no different than any of the other weather add-ons. Nearly all customization that many of us used for years was destroyed by this new version with no ability to perform the customization at all in the new version. Do not use this add-on if you want to customize or keep your settings. The developers apparently do not care how users are using their add-on and will remove functionality you have used for years without notice.
I am still looking for a weather add-on that lets me customize what displays on on my status bar as this one used to. If I find one, I will be gone in a second from this crippled add-on. The developers should be ashamed of themselves for doing this to the users.

Talk about Hero to Zero.... what junk I can not even set any settings at all :( the only message I get is:

I live in the UK and can only get weather for New York. this is complete PANTS!!!

Ok, I've said the new version is poor. The developers made a mistake when they released some early alfa of the new concept as the final 2.0. It was stupid and that's why the average 3 stars now instead the previous 5. But after 2 updates, I like it already more than the 1.9, the web interface is intuitive and clear and the language support does work better too.

New Version 2 - unfortunately!
You can not save more settings (*. xml) as in the old version 0.9.10.2!

The old Forecastfox = 10 stars
The new Forecastfox = 0
This new version is deliberately crippled crapware. People like CosmoCarter should learn a thing or two about the topic before posting their gibbering nonsense and belittling others.

Pfu, am I glad: it's still possible to install version 2.0.1. (The more because I don't want to mis this nice Add-on) Why? Because V2.0.2 combined with Firefox 3.6.10 suffers from impossibility to activate the contents of the on-line Preferences settings page. If you close this blank page, you're left with a funny one square cm. remains of a upper button-bar containing the Mac OSX red colored close button.

Every time a program changes, wimps like yourselves (you know who you are) whine and cry about how it doesn't work. Cut the cord, figure it out and STFU!!!

This addon looks good but everytime I type in my city in canada it won't change.
It always sets for New York, NY.
Therefore it's completely unusable for me and so I have to rate it a zero.
Please fix so it will become usable for me and I will change my rating !

I loved the old version and have just downloaded the new one I don't see anything wrong with it and love being able to glance at my toolbar to know how to dress. Thank you for this tool;-)

I'm upping my star count and adding a new review based on the updates that have come out post 2.0. The feature I missed the most, rotating profiles, is back and this makes Forecast Fox a much more usable extension for my particular needs. I still can't help but compare it to previous versions, since they were 5 star IMO, and that leaves me wishing that I could still customize tooltips so that the information I personally desire was shown at all times. Don't get me wrong, this is a fine and usable extension ... it just used to be much more customizable.
